Description
12 days in Florence discovering Renaissance art and an in-depth course of painting techniques.
The course will take place in an art studio located in the city centre. This course is open to beginners and to those who want to improve their painting skills.
Accommodation: Hotel Adler Cavalieri 4-star hotel, located 5 minutes away from the art studio.
This package includes: 12 nights at the hotel Adler Cavalieri, continental breakfast, a welcome dinner in an authentic Tuscan restaurant, private guided tour to the Uffizi Gallery, private guided tour to the Palatina Gallery and Modern Art Gallery, 2-day painting course with a private teacher (6 hours per day) and all necessary painting materials.
The course is divided into the following phases:
- Exercise on watercolour techniques, colour, secondary and complementary.
- study of drapery.
- still life.
- Exercise with tempera techniques, study of the landscape.
- tempera on canvas.
- working and sketching art models.
- acrylics techniques.
- acrylics techniques on canvas.
- oil techniques.
- oils on canvas.
- sketching of human body with art models.
The course consists of 16 3-hour lessons.

Maximum number of participants: 10
Each student, at the end of the course, will be able to exhibit his/her work at an art gallery in Florence.
The trainees will have the opportunity to customize their schedules with the teacher.
At the end of the course students can keep their works.
THE TEACHER: C. Balletti, successfully completed her studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence.
She has been teaching since 2000 and she is currently teaching at a private art academy.
Her work is exhibited in various art galleries.
C. Balleti teaches the following courses:
painting, design, bronze sculptures, wax working, foundry; papier-mache masks.
COURSE LOCATION: the art studio is located a few steps away from San Lorenzo Church and the cathedral.
Rates
Euro 1.975,00 per person - minimum 4 people.
Single room extra charge 40 euro per night.
For packages from April 01st to July 15th and then from September to the end of October, high season extra charge 260,00 euro per person.
Rates are valid till the 31st December 2010
Available languages: English, Italian. An interpreter for French, Russian, Japanese languages is available upon request.
Extra charge: 100 euro per lesson to be divided among the course participants.
Included in prices 12 nights at the hotel Adler Cavalieri, continental breakfast, a welcome dinner, private guided tour to the Uffizi Gallery (3 hours), private guided tour to the Palatina Gallery and Modern Art Gallery (3 hours), 2-day painting course with a private teacher (6 hours per day), all necessary painting materials.
Booking conditions
A 20% non-refundable deposit by credit card is required to secure the booking. Full payment is due at least 15 days before the arrival.
Cancellation policy
The deposit is non-refundable.
If cancellation occurs within 15 days before the check-in date, no further penalty is required.
In case of cancellations from 14 days before the arrival until 3 days before the check-in date, cancellation penalty is 50% of total price, the 50% already paid (less bank transfer commissions) will be returned.
From 48 from the check-in date, and in case of no-show, cancellation penalty is 100% of total price.
