Description
Admire the collections of artworks of the Medici in the Uffizi and in the Palatine Gallery, and spend a day with them in the Medicean villas, the majestic dwellings in the outskirts of Florence.
When the Medici, wealthy landowners from the countryside, decided to move to Florence, the history of the city changed. Their banking activity allowed them to become the richest and most powerful family in town, and a hundred years later Grand Dukes of Tuscany.
The package is made of five days in Florence to follow the rise of Cosimo the Elder, to share the elegant atmosphere of the court of Lorenzo il Magnifico in the Medici Palace and to watch the daily life of the Gran Dukes on the Baroque stage of the Palazzo Pitti.
Discover the Medici, the wealthiest family in Florence during three centuries. Palaces, churches and artworks will tell you the story of the glorious Medici men and women, protagonists of their times. A private teacher, specialized in Medici history and art history will guide you along the memories they have left all around Florence. A lecture at your hotel will introduce the monuments you will visit with your teacher, for a full immersion in the city of the Medici.
